I went back and read every conversation I had with my friend Moussa.
Not a single hurtful word. Nothing but love, respect, kindness, encouragement. From one human being to another.
A knight of light, gone too soon. May his soul rest in peace.
Reading these messages gave me perspective. Each of us has a mission to fulfill.
The piano offers the same keys to everyone who sits in front of it. It doesn’t judge where you come from, your social background, or even the beliefs you hold. It listens to your soul, to your emotions. It responds to them, amplifies them, and carries them to others.
That’s what I’ve always loved about the piano.
So what does it mean to bring it to the biggest stage in France?
It means inviting tens of thousands of people to sit together in front of it.
In turbulent times like the ones we’re living through, I want April 17, 2027 to be a night of peace, poetry, and togetherness.
I won’t save the world with my piano. But I can help make it a little easier to live in. Create places of refuge where we feel safe, free to dream, to love, to feel. I want to bring gentleness into this world.
My Stade de France will be a refuge, a cocoon, for the duration of a concert.
I'll soon share with you what it takes to bring a concert of this scale to life. But before that, I needed to share my intentions with you.
Take care of yourselves.
Sincerely,
Sofiane Pamart
