This summer, I spent a lot of time thinking about Stade de France.
I am now reuniting with my teams, and I needed a clear vision to give us a direction. And here it is, in a single sentence: bringing elegance into the monumental.
Think of the Palais Garnier. The velvet, the gold, the chandelier, the ornaments, the grand staircase. Every detail is designed to make those who enter feel privileged. Music is experienced there as a ceremony.
Now think of a stadium. Tens of thousands of people, with the open sky above the stands.
What if we could create, inside a stadium, an event as carefully crafted as an evening at the opera?
This question will guide every decision I make between now and April.
The place of the piano. The quality of the sound. The light. What someone sitting two hundred metres away from me sees, and what they feel. I want the sheer scale of the venue to serve the delicacy of every gesture at the piano.
I am going to take you behind the scenes and share my thoughts as an artist facing a moment of this magnitude. The artistic choices, the great challenges, the many crafts brought together for a single night, and the doubts too. Everything I need to understand, choose and resolve to rise to the occasion.
